The National Taskforce to End Guardianship Abuse Text Box: What People in COLORADO are saying
Rudy Bush Reality check.

Since the senior citizen has not committed a crime, is not accused of committing a crime, and has no rights, is obviously well and not dead, has the competency to hire a lawyer, common sense says the senior citizen should not be in court.
Nielene Heller We have to care for our elders. The courts need to do a better job of signing over guardianship and do much more jail time for any and all elder abuse.
Irvn Rynn Not dissimilar to ambulance chasers, but much more deadly
Maureen Hartman	We call them "The Greatest Generation", but in reality our society is allowing them to be so terribly mistreated that they are dying at a very fast rate. We are losing "The Greatest Generation" to elder abuse. Behind closed doors, often in their own homes, frequently at the hands of their own family members, they are assaulted, starved, neglected, drugged, punished, scolded and isolated. Emotionally, physically, psychologically tortured. Why? Because somebody wants their money. And when a vulnerable senior citizen is so beaten down, and afraid, an elder will not report financial theft, for fear of retaliation. It's a silent epidemic. Family members who try to stop it are attacked by the abusers and the elder is punished even more. Seniors who are abused die sooner and at a quicker rate than those who are not abused. It is murder. The current laws/courts/agencies are not protecting anyone, they are contributing to the problem. The "do nothing" response by mandatory reporters reduce the crimes as "family fueds" to justify taking no action. Imagine being the "greatest generation", living 80 years, and getting to the end of your life, only to be stripped of all your rights, dignity, trust and basic care. The elderly are being denied the human and civil rights they fought for in this country. DENIED PROTECTIONS AND RIGHTS.... BECAUSE SOCIETY DOESN'T CARE. I am living this nightmare. It is a horrific crime. But it isn't just one life, it is taking and destroying many lives, and cycles of generations. I ask that you take serious action to save a life with legislation and enforcement to stop the continued fraud, larceny, theft, assault and battery and murder of our elderly citizens. IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME TO AFFORD THE "GREATEST GENERATION" SOME PROTECTIVE RIGHTS, IT IS NOW - HELP THEM BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. THE LIFE YOU SAVE JUST MIGHT BE YOUR OWN.
Anonymous	What I have seen and heard of is the ones that are supposed to protect the elderly are the ones abusing them. I am appalled about a case I know of in Chicago where the lawyer, appointed agency for protecting this man and the bank are all working diligently to fleece this man of all his money. It is a crime and the lawyer should be disbarred, and the rest of them thrown in jail.
